Seals Collect 9-7 Win Over Rainiers
The San Francisco Seals defeated the Seattle Rainiers, 9-7, at Sick's Stadium. San Francisco second baseman Tony Lazzeri had a superb performance. He was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. San Francisco pitcher Win Ballou got the win. He's now 3-0. Max Manning was tagged with the loss. Phil Page got credit for the save for San Francisco. It was his 3rd of the year.

San Francisco used the clutch hitting of Brooks Holder to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Seals the lead, 8-7. For the game, Holder had 1 single and 1 double in 6 at-bats.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Lazzeri.

At 6-2, the Seals have played well so far.
