Solons Deal Padres 6-4 Loss
The Sacramento Solons picked up a win at Lane Field, knocking off the San Diego Padres, 6-4. Starting pitcher Tony Freitas played a key role in the triumph. Les Webber locked down his 2nd save. At 2-1, the Solons have played well so far.

Joe Cronin, the 15-year veteran , had a direct impact on the outcome. Cronin contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the 19th inning to put Sacramento up, 5-4.

"I like to lead by example," said Cronin. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."
