The New York Giants posted a 3-0 shutout over the Boston Bees today on the strength of a strong performance by Cliff Melton. The Giants pitcher held the Bees to 5 hits while walking 1 and fanning 10 in the route-going win.

"It feels good to be wearing a New York Giants uniform today," the left-hander said following the game.
