New York used a well-timed hit by Ben Chapman to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Yankees ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Feels good to get the job done," Russo said after the game.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow. Slated to start are Tex Carleton for New York and Jesse Flores for Los Angeles.
