Sacramento Triumphs Over St. Louis In World Series
The Sacramento Solons finished the year on a high note by winning the Major League Baseball crown.

The Solons claimed the trophy with a 5-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals to take the series 4-3.

The winning manager told reporters after the game, "I think the key to success in the playoffs is to get hot at the right time."

Sacramento previously won its 5th league title to qualify for the overall crown.

During the Coast League regular season, the Solons posted a record of 90-64 and wound up first in the standings.
