All Even: Los Angeles Knots World Series With 8-6 Win
Los Angeles right fielder Turkey Stearnes was the key at Wrigley Field today, being named player of the game as he powered the Angels to victory in a critical Game Four of the World Series. The Angels took the 8-6 win over the New York Yankees to tie the best-of-seven series at two games apiece.

Los Angeles grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Steve Mesner delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 7-6 in favor of the Angels.

"Every team in baseball loses," Yankees manager Joe McCarthy said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."

Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow at Wrigley Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Bill Lohrman for New York and Ray Prim for Los Angeles.
