Statz Severely Scalded by Hot Water Tuesday, November 24th, 1931 Angels center fielder Jigger Statz received medical attention yesterday after being scalded at his home. Statz was apparently attempting to boil a pot of water when he accidentally knocked the pot over onto his right arm. The injury will reportedly cause Statz to be out of action for the next week as the burns heal. |
