Solons Prevail In Major League Baseball Series

The Sacramento Solons are champions of the Major League Baseball.

They polished off the Philadelphia Athletics in the decisive game 4-3 to capture the series 4-2.

At the postgame press conference, the winning manager commented, "This is the reason you play this game. To get this trophy says you are not only the best team in your league, you are the best from several leagues. It is a very special feeling to win this Major League Baseball trophy."

The Solons won the 2nd pennant to qualify for the overall crown. Sacramento compiled a record of 92-62 in the Coast League during the regular season.
