Turpin Holds Seattle Scoreless
Wednesday, September 16th, 1931
Hal Turpin of the San Francisco Seals shut out the Seattle Rainiers 1-0, stopped them on 2 hits and had 1 strikeout and 1 walk in a strong outing at Dugdale Park today.

"He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw," San Francisco manager Mark Velez said later. "When Hal stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key."

So far this year Turpin has 2 wins and 5 losses and a 4.57 ERA.
