PCL Star of the Week Honored Monday, September 15th, 1930 Biz Mackey is respected by most Seattle Rainiers fans for his no-frills style of play. The 33-year-old catcher went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .500 average (11-for-22) with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This year Mackey is batting .333 with 166 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 71 times and has batted in 88 runs. |
