Torriente July's Best Bat Choice Friday, August 1st, 1930 Cristobal Torriente may be getting older, but he's evidently not slowing down. The Sacramento Solons center fielder is the Pacific Coast League Batter of the Month for July after posting a stellar campaign. Torriente batted .417, hit 6 home runs, drove in 32 runs, scored 31 times and compiled a .504 on-base percentage. For the season Torriente has produced 155 hits in 390 at-bats for a .397 average with 20 home runs and gotten on base at a .463 clip. |
