Hale Stretches Hit String to 37

Sammy Hale's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Portland. The 33-year-old third baseman extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 37 games with a 1-for-4 performance against the Los Angeles Angels. The Beavers took the game, 6-2.

"People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful."
Sammy Hale singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.

Hale is presently hitting at a .323 pace with 7 home runs, 52 RBIs and has scored 42 times.
