Hale Stretches Hit String to 36 Sunday, July 27th, 1930 The hot bat of Beavers third baseman Sammy Hale continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 36 games after he went 1-for-4 in today's 5-4 loss to the Angels at Wrigley Field L.A.. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Sammy Hale flied out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. Hale is presently hitting at a .324 pace with 7 home runs, 52 RBIs and has scored 41 times. |
