Players-Only Meeting 'Didn't Work': Douthit Monday, October 7th, 1929 Taylor Douthit of the Hollywood Stars said a recent players-only meeting held by Ken Penner "didn't work" and may have been more of a distraction than anything. "We know we're not playing good baseball right now, we don't need to hear it from one of the players," he said. "I know Penner means well, but I think there are probably some guys who are more upset now than they were before we had that meeting." |
