At an age where many of his peers are still trying to establish themselves in Pacific Coast League, Joe Cronin of the Sacramento Solons stepped up to win a Pacific Coast League batting title, with a .366 mark.

On the season, he compiled 159 hits, 36 doubles, 9 triples and 6 home runs. In 105 games Cronin totaled 87 RBIs and scored 97 runs.
