Portland Helpless Against Mitchell Tuesday, October 1st, 1929 Portland dropped a 4-0 shutout to Clarence Mitchell and the Seattle Rainiers at Dugdale Park today. The Beavers offered little resistance to Mitchell, who stopped them on 4 hits, fanned 1 and walked 1. "It just felt right today," the left-handed Mitchell told reporters after the win.
