Rose Week's #1 Player Monday, September 16th, 1929 At the age of 27, Eddie Rose might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Portland right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .524 batting average. For his efforts Rose collected the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 home runs and 6 RBIs last week in 5 games. In 85 games Rose is hitting .346 this season with 73 hits, 6 home runs, 33 RBIs, 23 walks, .408 OBP and has scored 41 runs. |
