Nip Winters of the Hollywood Stars was masterful today, pitching a 4-hit shutout, 11-0, against the Los Angeles Angels.

By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Hollywood manager Martin Abresch.

"It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too."

Winters had 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in the outing.

His record this year is 13-4 in 19 starts and Winters has a 3.74 ERA.
