Hot Iron Burns Bells Cole Saturday, July 13th, 1929 Bells starting pitcher Bert Cole required medical attention yesterday after severely burning himself in his hotel room. Cole apparently burned leg while ironing a pair of pants, but shrugged off suggestions that he may have actually been wearing the pants while ironing them. "I'm seriously not that stupid," said Cole. "The iron just slipped and came down against my leg. No big mystery." |
