Portland Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Monday, September 10th, 1928 There might have been some flickers of hopes of a playoff berth at some point during the season, but those flickers have been snuffed out. The Portland Beavers were officially eliminated from playoff contention today. This is the 3rd time in a row that the Beavers have missed the playoffs. Their last payoff appearance was in 1925.Portland last won the Governor's Cup Series in 1925. |
