PCL Announces Player of the Week
Monday, September 10th, 1928
It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Pacific Coast League, but last week Leo Ostenberg of the Hollywood Stars reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Ostenberg rocked opposing pitching for a .524 average (11-for-21), 2 home runs and 10 RBIs to come away with the award.

Thus far in 1928 Ostenberg is hitting .282 with 14 home runs, 73 RBIs, 65 runs scored and has compiled a .338 OBP.
