Salmon Records Shutout Against Stars Tuesday, August 14th, 1928 Harry Salmon kept the Hollywood Stars hitters off balance all game long as the San Francisco Seals pitcher blanked the Stars, 3-0. Salmon gave up 4 hits, struck out 1 and walked 1. In the postgame press conference, the right-hander was reluctant to talk about the outing at length. "It was a nice win in a long season," he said.
