San Francisco, Sacramento Close Deal Tuesday, July 31st, 1928 BNN is reporting a rumored trade between the San Francisco Seals and Sacramento Solons has been finalized. The deal, which is expected to be announced sometime during the next few hours, will reportedly send 21-year-old LHP Roy Joiner and 25-year-old LF Parry O'Brien to Sacramento in return for 31-year-old RHP Rats Henderson. The clubs were noncommittal on the trade, but did not deny it. Currently O'Brien is batting .279 with 31 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 13 runs and scored 12 times. On the season Henderson has 7 wins and 11 losses and a 3.65 ERA. |
