Brandt Tosses Shutout Tuesday, July 24th, 1928 The San Francisco Seals met their match today in Seattle hurler Ed Brandt. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 6-hit shutout. "He just worked us over," San Francisco skipper Mark Velez said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat."
