Brandt Tosses Shutout
Tuesday, July 24th, 1928
The San Francisco Seals met their match today in Seattle hurler Ed Brandt. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 6-hit shutout.

"He just worked us over," San Francisco skipper Mark Velez said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat."

In the 5-0 victory, Brandt whiffed 5 and gave up 4 walks.

His record for the year is 11-9 in 20 starts and Brandt has a 2.75 ERA.
