George Scales's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 1-for-5 in a 10-2 Los Angeles Angels triumph over the Portland Beavers at Vaughn Street Park. The 40-year-old second baseman has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the Angels.
George Scales flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.

So far in 1941 Scales is batting .356 with 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has 53 hits in 149 at-bats and a .425 OBP.
