Johnson Wins PCL Player of the Week Prize

A battle-tested Bob Johnson declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 34-year-old Portland first baseman collected the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week Award.

He wrapped up the week with a .464 average, 13 hits in 28 at-bats, 1 home run, 3 RBIs and 8 runs scored.

This season Johnson is batting .317 with 64 hits, 9 home runs, 23 RBIs, 24 walks, .393 OBP and has scored 41 runs. He has played in 51 games.
