Barrett Shackles Sacramento Monday, August 21st, 1939 Dick Barrett of the San Diego Padres toyed with the Sacramento Solons today, blanking them 3-0 at Lane Field. He was almost untouchable, baffling them on a 3-hit shutout with 5 strikeouts and 3 walks. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Barrett said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there."
