"Ted has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Padres manager Martin Abresch joked after the game. Ted Williams hit a solo-shot off Ray Brown in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
