Ted Williams of the San Diego Padres extended his hitting streak to 20 straight games with 2 hits in today's 9-4 triumph over the Seattle Rainiers at Lane Field.

"Ted has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Padres manager Martin Abresch joked after the game.
Ted Williams hit a solo-shot off Ray Brown in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

Williams is batting .364 with 23 home runs and 79 RBIs this season.
