Lindell Fires Shutout in Oakland Victory

In a remarkable performance, Oakland Oaks starter Johnny Lindell beat the Portland Beavers 4-0 in an impressive 6-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Oaks hurler finished with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Portland manager Mark Cooley said following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
