The Sacramento Solons have been on the market for some time now. A Sacramento bank has been quietly shopping the team around, seeking the perfect candidate.

Recently, they advised owner Alex Jacobs that Masaru Kojima was the most viable suitor and that he would commit to keeping the Solons in Sacramento for the foreseeable future.

In prepared remarks, Jacobs said: "It's important to me that Sacramento fans get treated fair and square in the future. We've located a great partner in Masaru Kojima and I think you're going to love what he will bring to the table. There will be a Pacific Coast League team here for a very long time."

Kojima is regarded by close associates as understanding. They expect him to take a generous approach to payroll issues.

Kojima made his fortune in finance and is generally considered generous in terms of spending.
