Another Setback For Hollywood's Frank Shellenback Friday, September 9th, 1938 The Hollywood Stars received some bad news when the team's medical staff announced that Frank Shellenback would miss even more time than had previously been expected. Shellenback, who is currently out with shoulder inflammation, was evaluated by doctors yesterday and tests showed that the injury was not healing as quickly as they expected. Instead, the 39-year-old reliever will have to spend another 5 months in treatment. Frank Shellenback is expected to undergo surgery in San Francisco(California) tomorrow. Shellenback's record up to now is 1-and-4 with no saves and a 4.50 ERA. He has given up 99 hits in 68 innings with 12 strikeouts. |
