Gregory Holds Seals Scoreless
Monday, July 18th, 1938
Seattle Rainiers pitcher Paul Gregory really got it done at Sick's Stadium today in his 5-0 shutout victory over the San Francisco Seals, shutting them down on 8 hits.
"It was just one of those games where everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," Gregory said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them."
The 30-year-old issued 2 walks and had 1 strikeout in the Rainiers win.
This season Gregory has worked 135 innings with 38 strikeouts en route to a 6-8 record and a 3.80 ERA.
