PCL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Friday, October 1st, 1937 Pete Coscarart earned September's Rookie of the Month honors in the Pacific Coast League for last month's performance. The boyish Portland second baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Coscarart hit .348 with 1 home run, 18 RBIs and 12 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. This year Coscarart has batted at a .297 pace with 81 hits, 1 home run, 40 RBIs and scored 27 times. |
