Outen Takes This Week's Trophy Monday, September 27th, 1937 At the age of 32, Chink Outen might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Mission catcher put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .522 batting average. For his efforts Outen collected the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 1 home run and 9 RBIs last week in 5 games. Outen is batting .309 this season in 114 games with 5 home runs, 75 RBIs and 67 runs scored.
