Rainiers Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Monday, September 20th, 1937 There might have been some flickers of hopes of a playoff berth at some point during the season, but those flickers have been snuffed out. The Seattle Rainiers were officially eliminated from playoff contention today. Seattle last appeared in the postseason in 1935. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 14 times in their 16-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Rainiers have missed the playoffs 8 times. |
