Bedore Slams 5 Hits for San Francisco
Monday, June 29th, 1936
5 times is the charm -- at least for Frederick Bedore.

The San Francisco Seals first baseman tore up the San Diego Padres to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Lane Field today. The offensive onslaught from Bedore powered the Seals to a 10-6 win.

"Bedore was a tough out today," San Diego manager Martin Abresch said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."

Frederick Bedore hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.

This season in 30 games Bedore is batting .321 with no home runs, 15 RBIs and has scored 17 times.
