Liska Brilliant, Blanks Bells Tuesday, June 23rd, 1936 It wasn't easy but Ad Liska made it look that way. Liska silenced the Mission Bells, 15-0, in a Portland Beavers triumph at Seals Stadium today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Liska said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 9 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
