PCL Player of the Week Named Monday, July 15th, 1935 Wally Berger is respected by most Los Angeles Angels fans for his no-frills style of play. The 29-year-old left fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .464 average (13-for-28) with no home runs, 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This season Berger is batting .307 with 15 home runs. His totals include 54 RBIs and 54 runs scored. |
