PCL Names Best Player Monday, July 1st, 1935 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing George Scales was rewarded with the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Los Angeles Angels second baseman hit .517 while collecting 15 hits in 29 at-bats, 3 home runs and 13 RBIs. This year Scales has hit 12 home runs and posted a .281 batting average. |
