Leonard Swats 3 HR Against Sacramento Tuesday, June 18th, 1935 The Sacramento Solons knocked off the Hollywood Stars 14-12 today in spite of a fantastic performance by Stars first baseman Buck Leonard, who Leonard drilled three home runs but couldn't bring home the victory. "It's like going to the prom with the prettiest girl in school, having a great time, but then not getting a good night kiss," Leonard said later. Leonard finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBI and 4 runs scored. Buck Leonard walked in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Fay Thomas in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Fay Thomas in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Frank Lamanske in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th.
