21-year-old Sacramento Solons pitcher Manny Salvo had a strong outing against the Seattle Rainiers at Civic Field today, keeping them off the scoreboard the whole game. He struck out 1 in the 9-0 win and walked 1 while surrendering 7 hits.

"Hopefully there will be plenty more of these in the future for us," he said.
