Beckwith Reaches 2500 Tuesday, July 18th, 1933 John Beckwith of the Hollywood Stars earned his membership in the exclusive 2500-hit club this afternoon at Civic Field. The 33-year-old third baseman got his milestone hit in the Stars 4-2 triumph over the Seattle Rainiers. Beckwith went 1-for-3 for the game.
