Star of the Week Named in PCL Monday, August 15th, 1932 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Pinky Higgins was rewarded with the Pacific Coast League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Portland Beavers third baseman hit .577 while collecting 15 hits in 26 at-bats, 3 home runs and 6 RBIs. So far this season Higgins is hitting .371 with 22 home runs. |
