Seattle No Match for Ballou
Sunday, August 14th, 1932
The Seattle Rainiers were almost helpless today in their 6-0 loss to the Los Angeles Angels and hurler Win Ballou. Ballou kept the Rainiers confused all game, spinning a 7-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Ballou," Seattle manager Jim Burns said in his postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 35-year-old right-hander had 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Ballou said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

In 26 starts this year Ballou has fashioned a 14-12 record and a 4.87 ERA.
