Pacific Coast League Names Rookie of Month Monday, August 1st, 1932 Youngster Arky Vaughan emerged as the latest Pacific Coast League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from San Francisco deserved the honor, batting .417 with 1 home run and 20 RBI. Is the month of July a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Vaughan enjoy the limelight. In the 1932 season Vaughan is hitting .326 with 5 home runs. |
