Seasoned by several years of professional experience, 31-year-old Turkey Stearnes put together a solid offensive month for Los Angeles and was crowned July's top batter in the Pacific Coast League.

He batted .431 with 15 home runs, 33 RBIs and 31 runs scored.

This season Stearnes has banged out 153 hits in 400 at-bats for a .383 average with 29 home runs. He is getting on base at a .436 pace and his totals also include 89 RBIs and 88 runs scored.
