Monday, June 27th, 1932
Whatever Josh Gibson ate for breakfast before his game against the Seattle Rainiers today, it gave him some impressive power.

The Sacramento catcher smacked three balls up and out of the park at Civic Field. His home run barrage led the Solons to take the 20-2 victory over the Rainiers.

"When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all."

On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-4, scored 4 times, drove in 7 and put on a display that history will remember.

Josh Gibson flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Clarence Mitchell in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Clarence Mitchell in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Clarence Mitchell in the 6th, walked in the 8th and walked in the 9th.

Gibson is currently hitting at a .344 pace with 16 home runs, 58 RBIs and has scored 53 times.
