An efficient outing for Roy Partlow usually means a win for the Pittsburgh Pirates and today was no exception. The 28-year-old left-hander held the Brooklyn Dodgers to a long line of goose eggs. He struck out 9 and gave up 5 hits in the 8-0 shutout.
