Tigers Come up Short of Playoffs

The Detroit Tigers put together a respectable playoff push, but ultimately their bid to reach the postseason fell short. Today, the club was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

The Tigers have missed the playoffs 55 times in their 56 years as a National and American Leagues franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 16th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1921.
