St. Louis Loses Jack F Wilson, Will Miss Season
Saturday, September 17th, 1938
The season is apparently over for Jack F Wilson. The St. Louis Browns medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 12 months with a torn tendon in his elbow. Wilson was hurt in the game against Washington while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.

His record for the year is 0-2 in 3 starts and Wilson has a 15.15 ERA.
